| For too long now, schools have been trying to teach math without laying the foundations to build upon. There is a story that goes like this.
A maintenance man noticed that the doors started binding and cracks in the plaster started showing up on the 103rd floor of a building. An architect, known for his ability to deal with such things, was called and was to arrive at a certain time. The superintendent of the building waited for him on the 103rd floor and the time passed for the man to arrive. The superintendent was then told that the expert was in the 8th basement. The superintendent went down to the bottom of the basement and informed the expert that the problem was on the 103rd floor. The Architect answered him by saying; “The symptoms may be on the 103rd floor, but the problem is here in the foundation.” |
It is the same way with math. The troubles that students have in later grades are usually due to a poor, or no foundation earlier in their education. We can either repair the foundation or keep patching the cracks forever. This course will open your eyes to many things that have baffled you in the past and the lights will start going on for you and you will begin to put the pieces together and understand how math really works and you will find it simple. This is the main thing that has been missing in math classes for over 40 years.
Take a look at the kinds of (PROBLEMS COVERED) (ANSWERS), which you will understand and be able to do after you have completed this course. |
